Bradley Nelson
Brad Nelson is an Attorney at Anchorpoint Family Law Group. I am dedicated to helping clients navigate some of the most personal and challenging issues in the law with professionalism, care, and a strategic approach. I practice in matters which include divorce, legal separation, parenting plans, child support, parenting plan modifications, domestic violence and harassment protection orders, property division, relocation, and other post-decree family law matters.
My Approach - I approach every case with two guiding principles.
First, I advocate for my clients with the same dedication and intensity I would bring if I were representing a close friend or family member. While no outcome can ever be guaranteed, I firmly believe that every client deserves a thoughtful, strategic, and determined advocate. That level of advocacy begins with understanding each client's unique circumstances, priorities, and concerns so that their voice is meaningfully reflected in every step of the process.
Second, I strive to be the attorney my client needs—not just the one they may initially want. Family law matters are often emotionally charged and deeply personal. In those moments, clients benefit most from clear, candid, and practical guidance. I prioritize honesty, even when the conversation is difficult, because informed decision-making is essential to achieving the best possible outcome.
Background - My introduction to family law began during my final year of law school, where I practiced in a university legal clinic serving individuals navigating complex family matters. That experience shaped my commitment to advocacy in this field.
Following graduation, I practiced plaintiff-side personal injury law, where I quickly advanced to a managing attorney role. In that capacity, I handled a broad range of tort cases from pre-litigation through trial, while also contributing to the development and expansion of a firm entering the Washington market. This experience strengthened my litigation skills, case strategy development, and client management.
I have since returned to family law—the area of practice that first sparked my passion for advocacy—bringing with me a broader litigation perspective and a disciplined, results-driven approach.
About Me - I have lived in the Seattle area for most of my life and am proud to call it home. I come from a family of military service members and am the son of immigrants, experiences that have shaped my work ethic, perspective, and commitment to serving others.
Outside of my legal practice, I enjoy spending time with friends, exploring new restaurants, cooking, and staying engaged with technology. I also appreciate quieter moments—whether walking around Green Lake, tending to indoor plants, or unwinding with a good series or film.
